Question

Highlight an area instead of just highlighting text?

In a document with text, I need more flexibility with what I can highlight in Adobe Acrobat than what the Highlight tool provides because the Highlight tool only highlights text strings instead of allowing me to highlight an entire area of a document. I know that I can use the rectangle tool and adjust the opacity to be able to see the text underneath, but this is not a good solution because it dims the color of the rectangle fill. I want the bold color that the Highlight tool provides but with the flexibility of the Draw Rectangle tool. Is there a way to do that?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
