Highlight & Underline

I have occasions when i would like to underline something in a portion of text that i have highlighted. I cant see how to do that? I am not using the new look version.

There's no easy way to do it because both are annotations (comments) so when you try to create one it would select the other. The trick is to start a bit before the text you want to highlight/underscore, and then you'll be able to do it without selecting the pre-existing comment that's already there.
