Question

highlighter tool

Does anyone know why text highlighted with the Adobe PDF highlighter pen appears as black outlines with yellow comments when viewed in Google Drive?
It wasn't happening a few days ago, but it suddenly started showing up like this over the past two days! During these two days, I've been researching how to embed fonts into files—did I accidentally change some settings?

But my other files don't do this! 🥺

I'll try again and see! Thank you so much!

I'll check if all newly created files end up like this, and whether older files—if they're still editable—turn out this way as well.

This would be a question for Google, they are in charge of how PDF features are displayed in their environment. As long as the highlights still show up the same way as before in Adobe Acrobat/Adobe Reader, it is something that Google does.

    I just tried it out:
File A: It had existing (editable) highlights, and I added more highlights to it. On the web version, everything looks completely fine. But on the mobile version, while the highlights are visible, there are still black outlines... It's so weird.
File B: This is the new document. On the web version, the highlights don't show up at all—not even the black outlines... But on the mobile version, it looks exactly like the screenshot.

What setting on earth did I accidentally change? 🥺🥺

How are you adding the highlights?
