Hi, I have just installed Adobe Acrobat onto my iPad Pro, mainly to use it for highlighting text on my PDF‘s, it works well in the adobe screen, but when I go into my files to look at it the highlighted text is done but all little highlight squares show up all over the place, even covering other text, does anyone know how to stop these boxes from showing up? Thank you.

Hi Dianef,

Sorry for the delay.

When you say the highlighted text on PDF looks fine when its open within Adobe screen. But it doesn't look well when you open my files.

What do you mean by my files, how exactly you are opening PDF without Adobe Reader or Acrobat? Because it need PDF viewer, if not Adobe then must be something else.

Is it something you are referring about viewing a file on Adobe Acrobat desktop application? If yes, then I believe you are getting Text Comment pop-ups box.

Try this- Open Acrobat>navigate to Edit>Preferences>Commenting>"Copy selected text into Highlight, Strikethrough, Underline and Replace Text comment pop-ups" is its check then uncheck it and click OK.

Reboot Acrobat and cross check the same.

Hope this is exactly what you were looking for.

Thanks,

Akanchha
