I have a Huion Tablet and use it for schoolwork and would like to be able to set the softkeys to commands and tools I frequently use like Edit, Add text, Add Image, Highlight, crop, etc. but I dont see a way to do that and i dont see any key commands for those things. How do I make key commands for things that dont already have them?

There are no details or links to this resolution, and if there were, not sure if my French would be up to the task.

Here is the thread on the Uservoice forum where people have been asking for this: https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/36251497-customize-keyboard-shortcuts

It's just one of sereral very similar requests.

Rudy, I agree Adobe needs to implement a way for users to customize keyboard shortcuts for frequently used commands. Oddly enough, in older versions such as Acrobat Pro 9, which I had used until just a few weeks ago, there were built in shortcuts for nearly everything. Seems to be a case where the developers might not understand that becuase DC is so widely used in many industries, the ability to customize the commands and workspace to suit individual needs is very important. All the more puzzling when you see this feature work very well in Adobe's other product lines such as Illustrator and InDesign. Adobe, please build a better UI for DC--we know you know how!

Maybe this link could help with some workarounds:

https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+setup.softkeys+in+android+os+for+a+huion+drawing+tablet&oq=how+to+setup.softkeys+in+android+os+for+a+huion+drawing+tablet&aqs=chrome..69i57.34532j0j4&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

Which other devices are you trying to connect this drawing tablet to?  Windows (which version), macOS(which version) or to an Android phone or mobile device?

There are third party apps that you may be able to download and install from the Google playstore which may help setup some soft keys(if you are an AndroidOS user of course)

I am a fan of AndroidOS and if money is a concern in this matter, you can always download an install an Android OS version for PC, such as PhoenixOS, PrimeOS , BlissOS, or Android OS itself which you can get for free and isntall in a PC or macbook, and singleboard devices like a Raspberry Pi.

Only reason I am suggesting this path is because of customization options at your fingertips if you get the time to learn how to.

But in the case of PhoenixOS is very easy to install automatically and dual boot.

You are in more luck of using available AndroidOS builtin softkeys capabilities than wrestling with useless drivers .

  1. In any case , you may be surprise to find out how fast you can download an Android OS iso file, flash it to a USB key, boot it up in a computer device of your choice( win or mac), install it or try it without installing and test your tablet with that OS and play around with to setup some softkeys. Technically it takes a lot less time to accomplish this than thr amount of time you've probably already invested in googling how-to's

Hi

You can not.
The customization of keyboard shortcuts is something that has been in demand for over 15 years, but some eggheads have decided otherwise.

Single key commands for things like pausing scrolling would be a lot more convenient than Cntrl-Shift-H every time.   Of Course you can work with the up and down arrow keys a bit to slow or speed it up, but the on or off definitely takes two hands. ESC will stop, but not restart.  So fixing this, and (like most media player apps) a way to reassign keys is a suggestion for the designers to provide to perk up our day!

Hi @EJ306462079o8j,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

Would you mind sharing the same feedback here: https://adobe.ly/4au7DYw to ensure it reaches the dev team for review and future implementation.
