How can I add a jpg signature image to a digital ID

Thank you for that answer and I can confirm that it correctly answered my request. I have now resolved my issue as follows.

I rarely have to sign an Adobe Acrobat DC document and never have to write documents in PDF format. Licensing Adobe Acrobat DC to add a written signature to the digital signature on the rare occasions when a supplier requires me to sign a PDF document would be very costly. I now use the mandatory PDF file required by Adobe Acrobat DC Reader.  The only way that I could find to use it in this way requires just once writing a large signature as an image, importing it to Windows Word to fill a full page with narrow margins and then printing it to a PDF file for secure storage as a signature. The PDF signature file can then be used by Adobe Acrobat DC Reader to add an image of the written signature to a digital signature. Not too arduous though it took me a while to learn how to write a sufficiently lage signature.
