I trying to convert an NSF file (IBM Lotus Notes) into a PDF, but I not unsure about the best tool or method to do this. Could anyone recommend a reliable NSF to PDF converter, and share some steps to convert it efficiently?

If you want to save your Lotus Notes emails in a way that is easy to read and share, converting NSF files to PDF is a good idea. The WholeClear NSF to PDF Converter makes it easy because it was made to make the procedure quick and easy. You can export all of your emails, attachments and all, into PDF files without losing formatting in only a few clicks. Even if you're not particularly good with technology, the tool is easy to use. It protects your data and enables you choose which folders to convert if you don't want to convert everything. It's a safe and easy method to retain crucial emails that you can print.

Hi everyone,

I recently had to convert a bunch of emails from my old Lotus Notes NSF files into PDF format for legal and documentation purposes. After trying a few manual tricks (which were honestly time-consuming and limited), I finally found a much easier way — using the eSoftTools NSF to PDF Converter.

This tool made the entire process super simple. I just selected my NSF file, previewed the mailbox folders (like Inbox, Sent, etc.), and then hit convert. It exported all the selected emails to PDF format — and even preserved the attachments, folder hierarchy, and formatting. What I liked most is that it allows selective folder export and batch processing. So whether you need a few important emails or an entire NSF archive saved as PDFs, this software really does the job efficiently. Highly recommended if you want a fast, accurate, and user-friendly solution.

Would love to hear if anyone else has tried it — or if you have other suggestions for converting NSF files to PDF!

Hi @dutton_3480,

Thank you for reaching out. Acrobat doesn't have a PDFMaker plugin for Lotus Notes.

You may try the manual Method (If You Have Lotus Notes installed) and Acrobat installed

  1. Open Lotus Notes and load the NSF file.

  2. Select the emails or documents you want to convert.

  3. Click File > Print.

  4. Choose Adobe PDF Print to PDF as the printer. (This is Possible if you have Acrobat installed and you are using a Windows machine.) For Mac, at the bottom of the print dialog, there is an option for PDF. Click on the Dropdown, choose Save as PDF.

  5. Save the file.

Note: On Windows, the PDF created with the above method will be a flattened PDF file.
