How can I create a fillable PDF worksheet for an online calculator?

Hi everyone,

I'm working on an online CRS Calculator for Canadian Express Entry applicants, and I'm looking at ways to make a simple PDF worksheet that users could download and use alongside the calculator.

For example, I'd like the PDF to have fillable fields for things such as age, education, language test results, Canadian work experience, foreign work experience, and other CRS factors.

I'd also like the final PDF to be easy to use on both desktop and mobile, with clear instructions and possibly calculated totals where Acrobat supports it.

The online calculator I'm working on is here:
https://crscalcu.ca/

For anyone experienced with Acrobat, would you recommend using Acrobat's Prepare a Form feature for this type of worksheet? Are there any particular best practices for creating accessible fillable forms and making sure they work reliably across different PDF viewers?

I'd especially appreciate advice from anyone who has built interactive PDF forms with calculations.

    Hello @gifted_Glazecf16,

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. Sorry for the trouble you had.

Acrobat Pro’s Prepare a form feature is appropriate for this type of downloadable CRS worksheet, especially if users need fillable fields plus simple calculated totals. Acrobat supports creating fillable PDF forms from existing files or from a blank page, adding form fields, setting field properties, and configuring calculations.
