Like I said, into my appraisal software as simple text data.

Use the text selection tool, highlight the text, press Ctrl+C...

[I moved this question from The Lounge to the Editing & Exporting PDFs forum and removed your other post]

Why do you want to cut text, instead of copying it? And to where do you want to paste it, exactly?

OK then... copy & paste. I am a real estate appraiser and I copy & paste info from several assessor, MLS, taxing authority websites. I print a pdf of the data relating to the subject property I am appraising. I then save the data (pdf's) in an associated owrkfile and also copy & paste data i.e. parcel numbers, legal descriptions, owner names, etc into my appraisal software.

Since my old version of Acrobat Writer was shut down (discontinued), I've not been able to highlight individual text to copy & paste.

Where am I going wrong?

You didn't answer my second question... Where are you pasting the file? Inside the same PDF file? In another PDF file? In another file format? If so, which one?
