How can I edit a form made with adobe pro 8 with the current versions of adobe pro?

I get an error message saying that I need a lifecycle editor. When I created the adobe form with adobe 8 I never got this error.

That message means the form was not created with Acrobat, but with LCD. This application used to be bundled with Acrobat Pro, but not any more. You need to purchase it separately now if you wish to edit your file (unless you still have an old copy of it and can install and use it).
