Hello all,

I'm having trouble finding out which level of "Quality" I want when scanning a document. I thought that the higher DPI would force a higher quality but perhaps I'm incorrect. How can I determin if I want to scan with max quality? I didn't see any detailed explaination other than the compression of the document. I appreciate in advance for your help.

Generally, the higher the DPI, the higher the quality. A higher resolution image (more dots per area) can allow for more detail to be captured. The higher the DPI, the bigger the file. It doesn't always mean that a higher DPI will result in a higher quality image. It depends on what you're scanning.

Share more of what you're scanning and what you'd like to do with the ouput and more specific advice can be given.

Hope the above helps.
