How can I open 24 PDFs with right-click?

I have 24 PDFs and want to open them with a right-click (context menu). However, only with up to 15 selected files Acrobat appears in the context menu. When I have 16 or more files selected, the context menu shows another app (Notepad++), but not Acrobat to open the files.

Why is this? Does anyone else notice this as well?

This is not a big problem. I am just curious.

I have an Acrobat Pro subscription, latest release 25.001.21184.

This is a limit of MS Windows.

Select all PDFs, then hit the Enter key
    (“Enter” is not “Return”)

    Hello @Winfried Reng

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

++ Adding to what our community product expert has shared, this is expected behaviour on Windows 11, not an Acrobat issue. When you select more than ~15 files, the Windows 11 modern (primary) context menu applies a limitation on how many items it passes to shell extensions. As a result, Acrobat’s context‑menu handler may not appear, while another app (like Notepad++) still does. This happens regardless of your Acrobat version or subscription.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.
