How can I remove the border and fill colors on my PDF form fields?

Question

There used to be a button on the top right of my screen that allowed me to toggle the form fields' border and fill on and off. With the latest update, I have not been able to find a way to turn OFF the form fields (I don't want to see them!) in Reader. Would someone please come to my rescue? It's such a minor thing but it's driving me CRAZY!!

Do you mean the fields highlight color? You can turn it off via Edit - Preferences - Forms. Tick off the "Show border hover color" box.

However, a field can have a border and/or fill color built-in into it, and those can't be turned off (at least not using Reader).
