How can I remove the need to submit a form once it has been created?

I've got a PDF that I want to send out as a form to be filled out and emailed back. The Prepare a form function works, but I don't want it to be 'Submitted' by the user (I've tried that function and it's just not working), rather the user should be able to just save a copy and email it back to me. I want to remove any reference to them doing it via Acrobat. I'm on Mac OS. Thanks in advance

Hello!

To make a fillable PDF on your Mac that users can save and email back, use Adobe Acrobat's Prepare Form tool. First, open your PDF and select Tools > Prepare Form to automatically add or manually create fillable fields. The key is to avoid using any "Submit" or "Distribute" functions that Acrobat might suggest, as these are designed for an automated workflow. Once your target pay and benefits form fields are complete, simply save the file by going to File > Save and then attach it to an email. When your recipients open it, they can fill it out, save their own copy, and email the completed PDF back to you without any references to Acrobat's submission features.

Amazing, thank you! So simple, hadn't occurred to me to just skip that step of the form making process. I assumed you had to do it that way for it to work. Brilliant. thanks for your help.
