Question

How do I create a response file

Two tests of my fillable form have been successful, coming back to me in my Outlook Inbox.  Instructions on the responses say to 1.  Double-click the attachment and 2. Adobe Acrobat DC will prompt you to select a response file.  How do i do that?  What are the benefits of this?

You can use the tracker (View > Tracker> and locate the "response file" associated with you fillable form.

For every response coming in Outlook Inbox, Just double click should open the "Add to Response file" dialog.
Incase you do not see the file pre-selected, you can navigate to the location and select the response file.

For more you can also refer to About Forms Tracker  and Collecting and managing PDF form data, Adobe Acrobat

I hope this helps.

Thank you! I needed our administrator to allow Acrobat to be the default for pdf files, for Flash to be updated, etc.

It is wonderful to see the table automatically created to collect responses.

Have a great weekend.
