I called your online support system, who is assisting me further. Thank you.

AvidXchange (our third party process invoice company) requires a pdf to be flat (not proprietary). Since we do not have the option to change our machine settings on SamSung MultiXpress X4300LX to a flat PDF, we want to try to change the pdf to a flat pdf, as Avid has requested. When I tried to do it through Adobe Support it told to do that below, but my issue is that once I get to layers, it will not give me any other options. So can you walk me through how I'd do this and where exactly everything is?

You didn't answer my question at all... "not proprietary" is not very meaningful.

I can explain how to flatten layers, or transparencies, or objects like fields, comments and links. All of these steps are called "flattening". But I don't know which one of those (if at all) is what you need, so I don't see the point of getting into the details.

Find out first what they expect from you, EXACTLY, and then we could help you achieve it. And if that company is so strict with its requirements maybe it should also provide a tutorial on how to achieve them to its customers.

Define "flat PDF", please. "Flattening" can mean different things in the PDF-world.

Also, what application are you using?
