Question

How do I get my Converter to return to allow conversion from pdf to Word?

my converter has disappeared from Pdf drop down menu when wanting to Convert from pdf into a Word doc.  just disappeared.  I am also getting a X message - to say that there is something wrong in the conversion.

No icon either.  Any clues.  do not wish to re purchase when I have a current subscription.

are you able to convert PDFs to Word documents using the work-around I gave earlier at least?

also if the previous is of no help, can you pls. share a screen shot of what it is you are seeing, as well as some information on the version of Adobe Acrobat you are using (I'm assuming Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?), as well as Windows/Mac?

I'm heading off to work now, so won't be able to reply until later today, but hopefully someone else can step in, in the meantime.

Are you referring to 'Export PDF' button in the tools shortcut list?

  • Click on Tools
  • Locate Export PDF, if it is no longer in the Tools, click on 'Add'.

Or if you don't see the tools at the side of the screen:

  • View > Show > Tools pane

Are you using Adobe Acrobat Pro/Standard DC for this conversion?

Are you able to open the PDF you want to convert in Adobe Acrobat Pro/Standard and do the following:

  • File menu > Export to > Microsoft Word > Word Document

If it's still not working are you able to provide some screenshots or steps of what you are doing and seeing on screen?

Hi Cari - yes following all of that -  problem is where the drop down menu usually loads and allows you to choose 'convert' straight up -

that is missing altogether.

I have no option of converting
