How do I open all PDFs using a maximised window?

Hello

How (on earth) can I get my "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (64 bit)" to open files in a maximised window?

I had tried maximising the window and closing using Shift/clicking of the "X" top right... but this is ignored.

I hav also tried editing Preferences ==> Documents ==> ticking: "Restore Last View Settings when re-opening a document" ... but this is ignored.

I need to process LOTS of PDF documents. This is driving me insane. Why have Adobe made this so hard?

Hi @TheCustomer,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

This is more of an OS level setting, than Acrobat.

The preferences described above, is for Acrobat to remember the tool and the panel settings used, but this cannot dictate how the window of Acrobat opens.

There are two steps you might want to try:

1. Go to Menu-> Preferences-> Full Screen-> uncheck "Current Document Only."

2. Close Acrobat. Right-click on the app shortcut-> Properties-> Shortcut-> select "Maximized Window" to the right of Run-> Click "Apply"-> Click OK (screenshot attached for reference)

Once done, now try launching Acrobat.

Hope this helps.

This did NOT work.  If I do NOT have Adobe Acrobat open (and mine is the "pro" version), it does NOT open the document at full screen.  I have to first of all click the shortcut, then go back to Microsoft Explorer, select the doc I want to open, double click it to open it, and then finally it is at full screen.
