How do i prevent adobe from automatically “straightening” my pdf photos?

When i load a pdf thats a photo into acrobat, i can see it automatically “straighten” it and skew the whole image a few degrees.  Its absolutely driving me insane.  I cant seem to undo it or restraighten it.  Where there was once a full photo pdf is a tilted page with white uneven corners.  Please help me solve this 🙏

    Hi ADUser,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

It appears that Acrobat is automatically applying auto-straightening to the scanned image PDF, which can happen when Acrobat detects the file as a scanned document and runs OCR or scan optimisation in the background.

    Please try the following suggestions:

    1. If the PDF is being created or enhanced through Acrobat’s Scan & OCR tools:

    • Open Acrobat and go to Scan & OCR

    • Select Enhance Scans

    • Click the Settings (gear icon)

    • Click on the Edit button under Filters and look for the option called Deskew

    • Set it to Off.

    1. Prevent Automatic OCR/Recognition

    • Open the PDF

    • Go to Edit or Edit a PDF tool

    • In the left-hand panel, click on the gear icon and uncheck Recognize Text (if enabled)

Let us know if this helps.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

Meenakshi, i appreciate your help so much!  I’ve done what you suggested and also learned how to turn it back to 90 degrees manually and refill the page after much huffing and puffing and internal screaming.  Thanks again for your tips!!! 🙏🙏 hopefully this will help others who run into this same problem
