How do I recognize text under the enhance tools without it rotating the page slightly. I am scanning a yearbook where the text is clipped from a article and posted slightly diagonally.

Please try Searchable Image Exact option while doing OCR.

Go to Enhance Scans> Recognize Text> In This file> Settings(Select "Searchable Image Exact" as Output style) and click "Recognize Text". Now, it will recognize text and won't impact you image. So it will not be deskewed.
