How do I remove highlights from a pdf I downloaded from someone else.

I was sent a document from someone else that contained highlights. I have Acrobat Adobe DC pro. I have tried and read everything I could find on the internet for a solution. None worked. Any suggestions?

Maybe the highlights have been made a permanent part of the file, so they cannot be deleted. What have you tried? Please be detailed, we can't look over your shoulder.

If that's the case you might still be able to delete them (one at a time) using the Edit Text & Images tool, but yes, without seeing the actual file it's very hard to say for sure.

I attached a screen shot. I could not send the actual file because it contains someones medical records. I erased the names on the screen shot.
