Question

How do I reset radio buttons without resetting a form in Adobe Acrobat XI?

I am creating a form in Adobe Acrobat XI via Microsoft Windows 7, and on this form I have several "Yes" or "No" questions.  Some questions are not applicable (if you answered this, then skip to question x).  Unfortunately, if someone needs to reset a particular radio button group, then they have to reset the entire form.  The form is five pages long, and I do not have the authority to change the basic content of the form (just make it fillable), so adding a "not applicable" radio button is not an option.  I am a self-taught user, so getting into javascripts may require someone explaining it to me to break things down Barney-style.

You can reset individual form field by using the document object's resetForm() method and supplying an array of the form fields to reset. Note an array has to be used even if you are resetting a single field.

Actually, if you're only resetting a single field it also works if you pass that field's name on its own, not in an array.

You can also reset a single field (or multiple fields, but not all) by using the built-in Reset Form command, as it allows you to pick which ones to reset.

I would look at using Check Boxes and if necessary change the displayed symbol, other wise you would need to supply a button to reset the specific Radio Button group.

See Check Box vs Radio Button for form comparing the 2 different types of fields.
