How do I scroll in Acrobat while using the highlighter pen?

I am using a Surface to highlight a pdf and cannot figure out how to scroll at the same time without deselecting the highlighter. Other PDF readers this works seamlessly. Please help!

    Thank you perhaps my question was confusing. I am using a pen stylus. I want to be able to select text and highlight OR scroll in the margin using the stylus. Is this possible?

    Hi Brian

     

    Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

     

    Would you mind shairng the version of the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and the OS you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

     

    What happens when you try to scroll while selecting the highlighter tool? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.

    I am using 2021.005.20060 on my laptop, trying to highlight and scroll at
    the same time without having to constantly having to click on the pen.

    Hi Brian

     

    Please update the application to the recent version 21.11.20039 and reboot the computer once. Go to Help > Check for updates. You may also download the patch manually form the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

     

    I have tried to highlight the text and without releasing the mouse button, scrolled the page to the bottom and it highlighted the text along scrolling the page.
