How do I stop getting a subscription error message with Acrobat?

Every time I open Acrobat to view or edit a file, I receive a pop-up message indicating I’ll have “Full Access” once I “renew” my subscription.  Today is August 7, 2026.  My Next payment for my Annual plan of $779.88 isn’t due until Mar 3, 2027.

I have to close and relaunch the software every time to stop getting the pop-up so I can edit my files.  I’ve used this for several years, and this started happening in late May of 2026.  I’ve cleared and deleted my cookies, logged out, signed back in, and this keeps happening.  Can anyone tell me if there’s a fix to these error messages?

Thank you,

Joe

    Hi @intuitive_Moonlight5F8D ,

Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

Since your account shows the subscription is active and paid through March 2027, this points to Acrobat not recognizing your license locally rather than an actual billing issue. A couple of questions that'll help narrow it down:

    • Are you using Acrobat as a desktop app or through a browser, and do you also have the Creative Cloud desktop app installed on this machine?

    • Also worth checking: is your computer's system date and time set correctly? That's a surprisingly common cause of this exact pop-up.

You've already tried the two most common fixes (sign out/in and clearing cookies), so here's what to try next:

    • Update Creative Cloud desktop app, if you have it installed, an outdated version is one of the most common causes of Acrobat not recognizing an active subscription.

    • Check for Acrobat updates: open Acrobat, go to Help > Check for updates, and restart after any update installs.

    • If neither helps, please check the steps shared in the help article Acrobat sign-in errors on Windows and see if that works.

    • You may also try to check the connection with Adobe servers and manually repair the host files as described here https://adobe.ly/4hPLsBC and see if it helps.

Let us know how it goes.
