I need to erase text. How do you do that?

Interesting...sorry but i cannot get to do it right. I do use the touchup tool, select text, hit Delete and the word has a red line crossed. I thought it was only a functional display of showing the text is deleted but when i save as with another name I still get the word with the red cross and the web link is still active.

Why is that? What am i doing wrong?

Are you sure you are using the touchup text tool and not the text edits tool? Sounds like it's marking it for deletion. The text edits tool is for commenting only.

That's because there's no such tool in Acrobat, only for Pencil-type comments. There is a redaction tool, though.

Have you tried the Redaction Tool (in Acrobat 8 & 9)?

    Be well...

No, I have not.  Would that help me delete text that was put into

the document in a previous version?
