How do you get the pages to align when you convert an excel file to pdf?

I believe you have more control over the resulting PDF if you first set your Page Break and Print Areas in Excel itself.

  • You can see the Page Break Preview in the View ribbon, and drag the page break lines to other points.
  • In the Page Layout ribbon you  can also define a Print Area manually.
  • Basically if you want a 'fixed' type layout generated from Excel, you'd need to do some prep work in Excel first.

In the ACROBAT ribbon, ensure you don't have Fit Worksheet to Single Page, or Fit to Paper Width set, as that would result in scaling of the excel content.
