How does one find an attachment in a PDF file?

I saved a PDF file in Acrobat Pro (ver 2024.001.20643) to reduce file size and get a message that says it will not reduce the size of attachment. I have no reason to believe it should have an attachment (it is a PDF created by saving a PowerPoint file to PDF).

However, I cannot determine how to find an attachment in the PDF file, and instructions at adobe.com and in Acrobat are not helping me.

I just had the same thing happen. I right clicked on the bar on the right side of my screen wherethe comments, bookmarks, and pages menus are and I was able to turn on the attachments menu(which is a paperclip) to see and manage the attachment in the document. As another user noted, most of the time this appears automatically when attachments are present and is otherwise hidden, but in this case I had to manually turn it back on.
