How I setup Auto portrait/landscape as default ?

I need to setup 'Auto portrait/landscape' as the default Orientation Option when printing?

I have a set of users where some of them have this option and some of them not. All of them are using the same network printer.

Hi eduardoc29727884,

There is no setting to change the default option of the Print dialogue box.

However, you can try the following steps to set the "Auto portrait/landscape" as the default option in the print menu,

  • Open a PDF and click on Print icon.
  • In the Print dialogue box, select 'Auto portrait/landscape'.
  • Click on Print tab at the bottom left to print the file.

Now next time you print the file, the option Auto portrait/landscape will be selected by default.

Let us know if this helps.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Thank you Meenakshi for the answer,

We have tried to change the selection by default but when generating SSRS reports (Reporting Services reports from Microsoft), some users are not able to print in Auto mode by default.

SSRS generate those reports in landscape mode, therefore they will be printed in that mode if 'Auto portrait/landscape' is selected.

Let me know if there is another internal setting we can change,

Thank you again for your assistance.

Best Regards,

Eduardo Carlo

Hi eduardoc29727884,

Auto Portrait/landscape mode of printing option in Print window helps to select orientation automatically, depending on PDF orientation.

Please let us know the orientation of the file you expected to print.

Is it an issue you experience with a particular file?

If so, can you share that file, so that we can check it on our end?

Please refer the steps provided here: How to share a document

Meenakshi
