how many machines can I install Adobe Acrobat pro DC to?

I have purchased a VIP license for Adobe Acrobat Pro for Teams for one of my users who wants to install it to several machines.  Since it is licensed by user I assume it can be installed on several machines since it can only be used when the licensed person logs on.  Correct?

I've been reading about this, and how named user licensing works in VIP, Licensing overview

Unfortunately I can't offer personal experience, but it looks rather like the retail product... which works like this

- User must sign in to use the product and needs Internet access so Adobe can enforce

- User is limited to two CONCURRENT active devices

- If user wants to use on a third device they need to sign off on one of the others

Please do not take this as an official reply.

It's two machines per provisioned user.  That does not mean concurrent either.

That was what I thought.  Thanks.  However, now my user wants to know how the number of devices provisioned is controlled since the license is by user.

What do you mean by "VIP license"? Is that a volume license? If so, the limit is the number of seats you've purchased.
