Question

How to access to font size informations once a pdf is signed ?

Hello,

I work in a company where graphic workflow use signed .pdf in routine.

Our regulatory department needs to check the size of the fonts AFTER THEY ARE SIGNED.

Before signature, the "modification" tool can be use to select and check font sizes within the pdfs.

Once it is signed, we cannot access to this tool and can verify sizes of fonts.

Is there another way to check it in SIGNED pdfs ?

Is there another tool ?

Or a specific way to create our signature to have this function still available after ?

VERSIONS USED :

Creation of pdfs : Acrobat 10 & DC on macs

Review/font check : Acrobat reader and Pro DC on PC.

Thanks in advance,

S. JANDOT

A digital signature locks the file to prevent modification. That's the entire point behind it.

So I don't see a way of doing it within Acrobat. Maybe by using a custom-made standalone application or plugin.

Hello

Thanks for you answer.

I agree with you about the signature locks reason.

This is also why I was asking if there is another way to CHECK (not modify) only the font sizes once it is signed.

I thought of a plug-in but where to find some ?

Thanks

This is something that will have to be custom-developed.

What is the point of this check, exactly? Why do you need to know the font size?

Also, do you need to know the size of specific text, or do you just want to make sure it doesn't go above (or below) a certain value?
