Question

How to add a digital ID

I used to be able to simply sign digitally by going to "fill and sign", "place signature", then drag new signature box, then it would ask for a password, then it would ask me to save the file and then I would have a signed, locked document.  My hard drive was replaced and I am trying to recreate that capability.  How do I do that?

Hi larryf68710395,

Try to follow below mention steps:

1- Launch Reader or Acrobat>click Edit>Preferences>Signatures>Identities & Trusted Certificates>More

2- Under Digital IDs( in the top left corner) >Add ID>select A new digital ID I want to create now>Next

3- New PKCS#12 digital ID file>Next

4- Enter your identity information like Name, Email Address > Next

5- Enter the password for the digital ID>Finish> close the window

Let me know if you face any issue while following the steps.

Thank You,

Shivam

Thank you, this was very helpful.

Can I customize the certificate?

Is there a way to import my signature which I have in a jpeg file to use with the signature?

Thanks

Larry
