How to add a signature in front of a text box?

Question

Hi, I am trying to add a signature in a text box field like this one, but it always ends up behind it. I couldn’t find any way of layer ordering this. Is there a solution? The box appears to accept just text and can’t select it to add signature or anything. Thanks!!

If the only thing you’re seeing is “Paste” it’s because you’ve already copied/cut something and it’s sitting in your computer’s clipboard, ready to re-apply.

Get your Edit PDF toolset, then click your cursor somewhere there is completely nothing on your PDF page. Then click off the PDF page so nothing is selected. Go back to the form field and try to click on it again. Hopefully now you will get better results.

Click on the box/text field.Right-click to open the Properties…flyaway menu commandIn the General tab, change the Form Field: options box from Visible to HiddenIn the Appearance tab, set the field properties to no border/no fillYou’re not so much setting your signature behind the field so much as you may be setting your signature in the field. Making the field invisible should fix the issue …unless you’ve managed to somehow set a second data field above the signature. In which case, you want to remove the redundancy.Hope this helps,Randy
