How to auto generate passwords for multiple editable PDFs

Hi, I’m planning to include a link to a downloadable customized PDF in my eBook. However, I want to prevent customers from purchasing the eBook and sharing the editable PDF with others for free.

How can I set up a system where each purchaser receives a unique auto generated password for the PDF, which can be used on only 1-2 devices? Thanks!

Use a DRM solution for this.

Hello,

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response.

As correctly suggested by our Community exert, you can use the DRM (digital rights management) for the workflow. For more details, see these articles: https://adobe.ly/3Epp0gS

You can also use the "Action Wizard" tool which allows you to batch-process multiple files and apply password protection with a unique password generated for each document. For more details, see this article: https://adobe.ly/4jDouMs

I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
