I have an Outlook PST file and need to convert all my emails to Adobe PDF. Is there a simple way to do this in bulk while preserving the email formatting and attachments? Any recommendations?

    Hello @Ababhishek99,

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

Could you please share more details:

    1. Which setup are you using? A) Outlook (Windows desktop), B) Outlook (Mac), C) Outlook Web.

    2. Do you have Adobe Acrobat Pro (latest version) installed? (Yes/No)

    3. How should attachments be handled? A) Included within the same PDF, B) Saved as separate PDFs, C) Not needed.

To convert an Outlook .pst file to Adobe PDF using Acrobat, you must first import the .pst file into the Microsoft Outlook desktop app. Once loaded, use the Acrobat ribbon in Outlook to select specific folders/messages and click "Convert Selected Messages" to export them directly into PDF. I ran into the same issue a while back when I needed to archive an old Outlook mailbox as PDFs. At first, I thought Adobe Acrobat could open the PST file directly, but I found out it doesn't work that way. I had to import the PST into Outlook first, and since I already had Adobe Acrobat Pro installed, I used the Acrobat add-in in Outlook to convert the emails to PDF. It worked fine, but it was a bit slow for a large mailbox.

Later, I needed to convert another PST with thousands of emails, and repeating the same process wasn't practical. I ended up using  Advik PST to PDF Converter, which converted the entire PST to PDF in one go without requiring Outlook. It kept the email formatting and attachments, which was exactly what I needed.

So if you only have a small mailbox and already use Outlook with Acrobat Pro, the built-in approach is perfectly fine. For larger PST files, a bulk conversion tool can save a lot of time.
