Question

How to disable the "Save time with a document summary" nag banner.

I create PDF’s all day long as reports as part of my job. Some jobs have multiple reports per day. My cloud-based software creates the PDF and opens it in the Adobe Chrome extension in a new tab. (This is what i want it to do. Otherwise it would download it to the Downloads folder, give it an automatic name, and then I’d have to load the full Acrobat app, review it, close it, and then press F2 to rename and file it away. So I’m NOT looking for another way to view the PDF files. It’s working fine.

What’s NOT working fine is that every single time I create a PDF and it opens in a new tab, I'm greeted with the following nagware banner: (attached).

In my case, I’m the one creating these PDFs. I don’t need a generative summary of my own work. I know what it is… because I'm the one that made it.

PLEASE give us an option to remove this nagware! There’s a great selection of AI tools in Adobe. I know where they are if I need them. I don’t need a constant browser lag becausey you’ve got to inject junk into my PDF every time I create one.

Please tell us how to turn this crap off.
According to the guy I just spoke to on support over the phone, there’s no way to do this. He kept trying to walk me through disabling AI in my Adobe app (which I’ve already done). That has no bearing on the browser extension.

When you open a PDF in a browser using the Acrobat extension, it has its own preferences.

    Dear Lord!
    Two thoughts on your response….

    First - I SWEAR that option wasn’t always there. lol. (I’ve looked… a LOT)

Second - I’m glad YOU could point me at the simple option. Adobe telephone support had no idea how to do that. They were quite happy to edit the registry, but didn’t know that button was there I suppose.
