Question

How to duplicate a page

I would like to duplicate one of the pages in my PDF. It used to be easy. Now I can't?

A search turned up the answer that I can use fn + opttion (Mac) to drag the thumbnail to duplcate the page. It does duplicate the page but then says

"Bad parameter."

When I tried to close the PDF to try again, Adobe said

"The document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (14)."

Am I really going to have to export a page and then insert it?  This really should be easiser than this. With all the bells and whistles, you would think duplicating a page would be an easy task.

It used to be. All my searches only turned up information from 2018 and earlier. Some said to so the option-drag thing, earlier ones, and even your own guide, shows to right-click the thumbnail and select "copy." What happened to that?

Please help.

Moving or duplicating pages in a PDF that contains hidden pages templates always causes alerts of this kind but that does not prevent to continue, without other consequences.

Copy/paste and option + drag is working for me on a Mac, try saving your PDF as PDF/X-4, does that help?

This indicates there's something wrong with the file.

Yes I am on Windows and that copy page option doesn't do anything. But pressing the "CTRL"  key to drag the thumbnal works on my end.

In your case, I'm thinking that maybe the PDF was viewed with another program, like a web browser, for example. Andmaybe...just maybe the PDF structure of the original document changed or got corrupted...I am just speculating.
