How to export all images from a PDF in bulk?

I have several PDF documents with many imbedded images. I would like to extract all the images from each document in bulk. I have found several online sources with instructions, but they don’t work. Are there any steps I can follow that actually work?

These instructions result in entire pages being exported as images, but I just want the individual images:

And these instructions refer menu options not available in my version of Acrobat for Windows:

Any suggestions? Thanks! Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) (26.001.21367) for Windows 11

That looks like the new interface. You need to click on “Image Format” to see the Export All Images option.

What Acrobat interface are you using--old or new?

Thank you for the reply. I guess I’m using the old interface, but Acrobat says that version-wise I’m up to date? If I’m using the old interface, how do I access the new?

I asked Acrobat’s AI Assistant, and this is the answer:

    1. Select the hamburger menu in Acrobat (Windows).
    2. Choose Enable new Acrobat from the menu to switch to the new interface.

Issue: There is no “Enable new Acrobat” option in the hamburger menu.
