How to export pdf with printable markups

Hi,

Hi,

Is there a way to export pdfs so that the markups print? I cannot print directly from acrobat because I use rip software. I need to be able to take a provided pdf and save it so that it prints exactly like it looks on screen. I know in other applications like preview I can print to a pdf. That doesn't seem to be an option in acrobat.

Flatten the PDF and then the comments will print. You can find the script here: Document Geek: Flattenizer Script for Adobe PDFs

I use efi fiiery and command work station. As far as I can see from their site they recommend printing directly from Acrobat. They state that the comments are not part of the graphic elements of the pdf and are instead specific to acrobat until you print with markups from acrobat. At which point acrobat essentially flattens them. However in that situation you bypass the imposition portion of the rip software. I was hoping there would just be a print to pdf option like in more basic software.

Check if the RIP has the option to print "annotations" (the Sunday name for comments).
