How to install and activate Acrobat 9 Standard back?

I registered my Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard, which came pre-installed with my laptop. Now, my laptop is broken, and I want to reinstall on my desktop but it says invalid serial key. I contacted support 3 times and it was just a waste of my time. They can verify that I have registered product but they cannot provide me with a new serial key so I can complete my reinstallation. It seems like. all the wanna do is tire you down and forward you to sales rep, so they can sell you the same product with a new name.

So apparently, I have an OEM Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard with a registered serial number on Adobe.com but when I'm trying to re-install my purchased product the serial is that is registered on Adobe.com is somehow invalid and for that reason I'm not able to go ahead any further with my installation.

OEM software usually comes with a license allowing its use only on the original computer with which it was supplied. So no replacement is applicable. If you believe it should be portable the OEM supplier (e.g. Dell) needs to get a disk to you. This is all in return for (we hope) cheaper software.

you can't get a new serial number.  in addition, newer os'es aren't compatible with older adobe software, esp acrobat.

but if you want to try installing, you must use the matching (to your serial number) installation file.  ie, contact your laptop's vendor.

if that was dell, Drivers & Downloads | Dell US
