How to keep layout when converting to PDF from Excel

Hi,

I have a spreadsheet that I have created centrally at Head Office using Excel.  When I print it out it looks exactly how I need it to.

I need to send it out to stores.  They don't have Excel (or any MS product) so I plan to email it to them as a PDF.

When I save it as a PDF and open and print the file the margin and column widths change.  For example I don't have any margin in Excel but Adobe is throwing one (around 8mm both left and right) in every time.  Also, the columns need to be 59mm yet Adobe change them as well (probably due to scaling).

I need it to be exact because I am printing to an A4 sheet of paper with 10 labels on it and they are fixed (perforated).

Please help!!!!!!!!!

Hi andrewb68333739

Sorry for the delay in response.

It seems that you are "Save as" option to save Excel file in PDF form.

When you use this option, it does not use Adobe PDF maker.

Please try to create PDF using Acrobat ribbon provided in MS Excel or directly from Adobe Acrobat application.

If you still experience the issue, please share the exact steps you do to create PDF.

Also, let us know the dot version of Adobe application and OS you are using.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. I only have Reader installed on my

laptop.

Windows 10

Adobe Reader V11.0.0

Excel 2013

I am doing this through Excel using VBA. There are large numbers and doing

it manually is not an option.

Please advise.

Hi andrewb68333739,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As you have mentioned that you are using Adobe Reader XI, then there is nothing much that can be done.

When you create PDF from Excel, it uses Microsoft's own PDF converter, not Adobe PDF maker.

Adobe Reader helps you to just view the PDF's. It does not make any changes to the PDF.
