Question

How to keep lines from being editable/movable by User in Forms.

Hello,

I have created a user fillable form that we send out to our patients. There is one area where I have tick/check boxes that correspond to a certain area on the human body- which i connect using a line.

When the user goes to fill out the form, the lines are showing as editable and can be moved around.. How can I lock these lines so this does not happen?

I'm assuming you added the lines using the Commenting tools. If that's the case, save the file as a copy, then flatten it (using this code, for example: this.flattenPages() ), and then copy over the fields from the original file to the new one, or use the Replace Pages command to replace the underlying pages of the original file with the flattened version.

Protect the form and allow only form filling.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
