How to know a PDF is a fillable form

I cannot figure out how to tell if a PDF in Adobe Acrobat DC is a fillable form or not. In the previous version, a green bar was shown at the top of the screen. In the updated version, no green bar, no nothing. I need to know if a PDF is a fillable form, and I need to delete those fields from the PDF. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

In the Preferences for Acrobat you can select to "Highlight" fields which indicates read/write form fields and borders required fields. It is also possible to use JavaScript to turn-on field highlighting.

To enable the green bar go to Edit - Preferences - Forms and tick off the "Always hide forms document message bar" box.

Alternatively, you can go to Form Edit mode and see if any fields already exist there. If it offers you to create fields it means there aren't any.

    The latest version of Acrobat DC does not give you this option.

    This question has not been answered and I also need to have that banner restored in Acrobat. Our work demands that we handle "form" documents differently this banner helps us see right away that it has form fields somewhere in it. How can we turn this feature back on?
