How to make "request e-signature" work?

Question

I've attempted numerous times to utilize the 'request e-signatures' feature across both the desktop applications (Windows, macOS) and the web platform. When I click on the 'specify where to sign' button in the desktop app, the pop-up window simply disappears without any action (it appears to have attempted to upload the file). Similarly, when I attempt to assign the file on the web, I encounter an endless uploading process.

I've tried all the suggestions provided by others who have encountered similar issues, but unfortunately, none of them resolved the problem. At this point, I'm simply left wondering: does this function actually work in the real world?

We have checked your account using the email address you used to sign in to the community page. It shows that you have a free account.

Please confirm whether you are using the Acrobat Reader (free version) or the Acrobat (subscription version). Also, confirm if you are using the same email address that you used to sign in to the community or a different one.
