How to remove "Design tools" from the user interface?

This little annoying part of the user interface keeps popping up, interfering with my typing. I can't type anything until I hover my mouse over it to close the pop-up. Check the attached screenshot.

    I'm having a similar problem. I paid for the product, leave me the hell alone. If I want design tools, I'll use them.
