how do you remove ocr from a pdf in acrobat dc?

Do all these PDFs come from scans? Or, is it possible that the file was created from a program like Word? If it came from Word, you can use the technique for Creating a Non-Searchable PDF from Office Documents.

In the Pro. version of Acrobat you can use the Remove Hidden Information tool to delete the OCR. This is located under the Redact tool.

thank you for the quick response however; this works for some pdfs but not all.

can you explain what the limitations or requirements are?
