How to remove passwords in bulk from PDF bank statements

I need to remove passwords from my bank statements in bulk and I do not know how to do it based on my research on this community and throiugh Google.

These methods do not work:

1. Remove Password Security from Multiple PDF Files by Adobe Acrobat -  Experts Exchange

2. Remove Password Protection by using the Action Wizard? - Adobe Support Community

(URLs to the solution return a 404 error).

I would appreicate it if someone could answer with more detail than "use Action Wizard". Please show example steps if possible.

Ok, so I managed to get an answer from Adobe Support:

  • There are 2 passwords: (1) The "Document Open Password" to open the document (which I have), and the "Permissions Password" that my bank has (needed to create the password protected document in the first place, and to have editing rights). See screenshot below.
  • As the bank will probably not give me the Permissions Password, it is not possible to remove the password from all of my bank statements.

Have the bank given you the password? Usually banks refuse.

Yes it's the same password for every single bank statement they email to customers (but unique to each customer).
