How to set expiry date on PDF

Is there a way to set an expiry date on a PDF document so that it cannot be opened after a certain time? Is the only way to do this using a DRM software package? All the answers I can find on this seem to date back a good number of years so I am hoping that perhaps it's now been installed as an option within AcrobatDC...? Thank you

Nothing changed in this regard. It can be done reliably with DRM, or not so reliably using a script.

Yes, use DRM for this.
