How to stop acrobat reader updates and keep current version?

The newest version of acrobat  reader has tiny color boxes when i right-click highlighted text to change the color -- an older version i downloaded from the microsoft store has larger, easier-to-click boxes and is mucher to use, but after a few weeks it disappeaes and the new tiny-box version is there --how can i stop this?  I have disablked adobe updates in task scheduler, but i still get these unwanted updates.  Any suggetions?
