Question

How to stop text boxes from getting split, resized and alignment changed when creating a form.

I have a form with a couple of rows of text boxes.  When I try to create labels it automatically resizes them or combines them or changes text alignment making it difficult to get everything looking nice and not fighting with the neighboring elements.  Is there a way to turn this off and keep the text exactly where it is placed regardless of other form or text objects in proximity?  I think it is trying to help me but it is anything but helpful

For the labels you can use read-only form fields.

Thanks Bernd -- I have this same question and will try that.  Thanks Original Poster for asking the question...I'm struggling with the same thing.

Seems like this (using read-only form fields for labels) will help with another problem too: the form fields have nice alignment controls, but the text labels I've been creating did not for unknown reasons.
