How to temporarily hide buttons while working?

I'm making a lot of buttons in a PDF so that I can click on text to show an image, but they're cluttering up my screen and getting in the way of me making more buttons. Is there a way to lock/temporarily hide them while I make more buttons in rich media?

As a workaround you can cut-paste some fields in another document, and copy-paste back later.
